Sara Evans had only one objective in life: create and sing country songs. Evans has been quoted saying, "God has put me on the earth in order to be an artist." This is according to John Meroney from American Enterprise. "It's what I am passionate about to do the most, and I'm going to achieve it." Evans was also determined to become popular by going back to the traditional style of country music that was popularized by legends such as Patsy Cline and Hank Snow. Her influences were also from George Jones, Tammy Wynette as well as Patty Loveless. During the late 1990s, at a time when the majority of aspiring country musicians turned to contemporary popular radio tunes Evans was able to make her mark with her country music which reflected the past, exemplified by her 1997 debut, True Lies. But despite critical acceptance as well as a nomination from the Academy of Country Music in 1998 for being the top female vocalist, True Lies made little significant impact. Thus, for her follow-up release, 1998's No Place That Far, Evans acknowledged producers who persuaded the artist to expand her repertoire and then finally received the acceptance she'd sought since childhood. Sara Evans was a born in Columbia Missouri on the 5th of February on 1971. Sara Evans lived her first stages of her life alongside her family.
